What you need to know about Disney's Martial Arts Festival
By Harry Bergollo

Nick and Zack Bergollo at Disney's MA Festival in 2006I find myself in unfamiliar place. Returning to Miami from an exhausting weekend in Orlando. It all started Thursday morning when I got up to go to work and culminated Sunday at Midnight. Needless to say, I am very surprised that neither my wife nor I collapsed from exhaustion somewhere along the way.

It was certainly due to the level of adrenalin and excitement of being part of an incredible martial arts event, Disney’s Martial Arts Festival, in Orlando Florida.  For the martial arts enthusiasts who have not attended, this is the definitely the most exciting event showcasing the evolution of martial arts.

This anamazing experience for anyone and everyone- from the young, fiery 4-year-old diminutive competitors to the experienced adults, and anyone who has just begun their journey in to the martial arts.  You can see the evolution from the ancient Japanese and Chinese martial arts to the generation X, extreme martial arts.

For the newcomers to the arts, there was a moment of discovery when they witnessed disciplines they have never heard of like Savate, Kendo, Arnis and even a football like sport called ComBaton. Athlethes came from all over the world to participate and compete against the very best in each discipline.
